Sr. Propulsion Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide ownership of propulsion systems through their life cycle, from vendor selection, through AI&T, and on-orbit operations
• Working with propulsion hardware suppliers and internal supply chain teams to drive and support procurement
• Perform delta-v calculations based on mission requirements
• Validate propulsion interfaces and collaborate with other spacecraft systems engineer to resolve technical issues
• Generate and release system-level specifications, support design and engineering reviews
• Perform and aid in testing, fueling, and verification of flight and ground hardware
• Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science or a related technical field required
• In-depth understanding of electric and chemical propulsion systems and their subcomponents
• Experience working with suppliers to support procurement of propulsion systems
• Hands on hardware experience
• Demonstrates self-initiated work in a team environment
• Good communicator with a desire to strengthen the entire team
