Sr. Materials Manager

Akkodis is seeking a Senior Materials Manager for full time, direct hire position in the Grand Rapids Metropolitan area due to a recent promotion within the team. Qualified candidates possess greater than 4 years of professional materials management experience within a production-based environment.

Senior Materials Manager job responsibilities include:

• Perform system maintenance on ECN's, NAFTA's, MRP and CMS Inventory accuracy while creating new production related purchased items in the database and oversee price lists.
• Work with purchasing department to maintain accuracy of items.
• Gather new vendor/supplier information and submit the appropriate requests for new vendors to corporate purchasing while ensuring valid supplier certifications are in place.
• Work with engineering staff members on supplier quality issues along with purchasing to ensure cost savings.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Associates or Bachelors degree is required.
• Greater than 4 years of professional materials management experience within a production-based environment.
• Stellar interpersonal skills.
