Description:
The Sr. Manufacturing Engineer will collaborate with the operations and design teams to plan and support the products being built in production areas. The role involves utilizing lean manufacturing principles to develop and implement processes and methods that meet product specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations. The engineer will be responsible for designing tools, machinery, and equipment, as well as maintaining labor routings, evaluating data, and training production staff.
Develop and implement manufacturing processes, assembly methods, and equipment, ensuring they meet product specifications and quality standards.
Collaborate with various teams to improve policies, procedures, and controls.
Design and cost-justify tools and equipment for manufacturing methods.
Maintain labor routings and operator worker allocations in SAP.
Evaluate performance metrics, such as manpower, schedules, and capacity.
Write work instructions and procedures for the production floor.
Provide technical assistance and support to manufacturing operations.
Ensure processes promote employee safety.
Train staff on production processes and procedures.
Coordinate manufacturing launches for new or revised products.
Support engineering change orders and production order changes.
Promote compliance with Rolls-Royce's Code of Conduct.
Basic Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering, with 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering; or 9 years of manufacturing engineering experience.
Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with manufacturing process design.
Proficient in reading technical drawings and specifications.
Experience with SAP and manufacturing simulation software.
OSHA certification/training.
Familiarity with AC/DC electrical systems.
Excellent project management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to negotiate and work well with others.
