POSITION SUMMARY:
The Sr Manager Construction Project Management will have a strong background in construction management, excellent leadership and communication skills, and the ability to effectively manage a team of construction professionals. They will support planning, coordinating, and supervising construction projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all safety and quality standards. The Sr Manager Construction Project Mgmt will play a key leadership role involving collaborating with cross-functional teams, contractors, and vendors, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards, while overseeing and managing all aspects of capital construction projects within our manufacturing facilities.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee and manage capital construction projects within our manufacturing facilities, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, resources, and quality/safety standards.
Actively participate during design tendering process and construction tendering process to ensure contracts, cost breakdowns, cost compositions and schedules are clear, with enough granularity and linked to quantities, unit costs and specific inflation indexes. Provide standards of expectations of bid breakdown granularity requirements to allow owner to evaluate cost risks between contractors for market project engineers.
Provide market standards and governance to ensure project teams establish factual and adequate buildings design documentation as part of the design and construction contracts to ensure solid cost and time baselines.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, procurement, and finance, to gather project requirements, develop comprehensive project plans, and cost benchmarking.
Coordinate and manage contractors, vendors, and suppliers involved in capital construction projects, ensuring effective communication, collaboration, and adherence to project specifications.
Develop and maintain project schedules, tracking progress, identifying deviations, and proposing mitigation strategies to ensure timely project completion schedules and/or to maintain optimized cost budgets.
Monitor and control project budgets, ensuring cost-effective resource allocation and adherence to financial targets, including benchmarking cost across the US market and other Nestle regions.
Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and project specifications.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of capital construction projects with existing manufacturing operations.
Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Manage project risks and issues, implementing appropriate mitigation measures to minimize their impact on project timelines, costs, and deliverables.
Generate and present project status reports, including progress updates, budget analysis, and risk assessments, to senior management and stakeholders.
Coordinate and oversee all construction activities, ensuring compliance with project plans, specifications, and local building codes.
Collaborate with architects, contractors, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop project plans and specifications to ensure cost effective quality solutions.
Review and evaluate project proposals, bids, and contracts to ensure feasibility and adherence to project requirements.
Manage and supervise construction teams, including contractors, subcontractors, and other construction professionals.
Monitor project progress, identify, and resolve any issues or delays, and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Coach teams and ensure they maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, change orders, and other project-related records.
Communicate and collaborate effectively with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on project status, budget, and any potential risks or issues.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in construction management.

REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:
Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field (preferred).
