The creative lead supporting the New Product Development Director, designers and engineers to come up with innovative creative solutions that support project goals.
Conduct conceptual exploration, coming up with alternative design solutions to ensure no stone is left unturned.
Evaluate design options, develop and push to find ‘big ideas’ based on design strategy and creative brief.
Evaluate and develop competitive and breakthrough design strategies and plans.
Partner and interact with internal teams and clients to showcase your passion for creative excellence, branding, packaging, and visual communication.
What you’ll need
An impressive branding and packaging portfolio, demonstrating recent work with a track record of creative idea generation, strategy and development. Visual portfolio required for consideration.
Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in industrial design, product design or related design field of study
Previous industrial design experience in a similar role to include independently leading design development projects utilizing project management and design strategies. Experience within a brand/design agency is a plus.
Outstanding Adobe Creative Suite skills, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
Experience with prototyping (3D printing, CNC, metal/wood/foam fabrication)
Demonstrated experience in 2D sketching and ideation using digital and traditional tools to visualize ideas and rapidly brainstorm ideas
High proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop and Illustrator, 3D CAD software such as Fusion 360, Solidworks, or Rhino and with Rendering software such as KeyShot, Unity, or Blender
Industrial design experience with food service packaging, preferred
Proficiency with Unigraphics NX, preferred
Animation, graphic design and/or model making experience, preferred
Ability to travel up to 15% of the time domestically
