Description:
Chewy seeks a highly motivated, analytical, and enthusiastic Senior Financial Analyst to join our rapidly growing Corporate Finance team in our Plantation, FL headquarters. Combining an understanding of finance, strong practical knowledge of financial statements, and showcasing the ability to use data to make and drive decisions, this candidate will perform various financial planning and analysis processes to support key decisions, drive growth, and ensure financial objectives are achieved.
What You'll Do:
- Partner with team members and cross-functional leaders to review financial performance and drive the forecasting and planning processes
- Identify planning assumptions for key business drivers and track financial performance, as well as identify risks and opportunities to plan/forecast
- Assist in building and maintaining financial models for budgeting and forecasting
- Work cross-functionally with Accounting to support monthly close processes (basic knowledge of GAAP)
- Manage and report company-wide corporate headcount by working closely with other Finance partners
- Recognize and propose analyses influencing business partners and finance leaders to drive positive change in the business
- Assist in the creation of ad-hoc analyses for cross-functional leaders and management
- Actively participate in the strategic planning and annual planning processes
- Effectively manage numerous projects at a given time in a fast paced environment
What You'll Need:
- Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics
- 3+ years relevant finance experience (CPG and e-commerce a plus) with a basic understanding of GAAP and strong grasp of financial statements
- Excellent financial analysis and modeling skills, and experience in forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis
- Must be proactive with ability to think creatively, self-start, work independently, deal with ambiguity, and meet tight deadlines / prioritize changing workloads while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication / collaboration skills required; role involves building strong relationships across the organization
- Advanced Excel skills
