We are growing our locations and are investing significantly into establishing a new large-scale manufacturing site for biopharmaceuticals in the United States as well as expanding our manufacturing site in Denmark to accelerate the growth of our Bio CDMO (Contract and Development Manufacturing Organization) business. This will be the largest network of end-to-end cell culture CDMO facilities in the world.
Our new sites will offer a network of end-to-end solutions to our customers looking to manufacture biopharmaceuticals in the US and in Europe. In addition to drug substance manufacture, our sites will also provide automated fill-finish and assembly, packaging, and labeling services.

We are currently looking for a Sr. Director of Strategy, Execution and Digitalization, Large Scale Manufacturing to join our Cross-site leadership team of our two Large Scale facilities – in Denmark and in North Carolina.
As Sr. Director of Strategy, Execution and Digitalization, you will lead a number of functions (some directly, some in a matrix) to ensure the strategic & operational alignment & execution of our sites in the Large Scale Network.
Reporting to the COO and EVP of the Large Scale Business Unit, you will ramp up the Strategy and Execution Function, while driving the establishment of the Large Scale Business Unit Leadership team. Once in full function, the Strategy and Execution area will own and drive the creation of a Large Scale business strategy & Operating Model, ensure strategic Communications & Change Management to enable our People First Culture, as well as drive the executive support needed for the leadership team. All Larger projects, such as owning and driving our Large Scale ESG agenda will likewise fall to your area of responsibility, and so will the oversight of our consultancy spend across the Large Scale BU. You will become the nerve center of many of the instrumental activities and life-nerve of the Large Scale business unit.

Support COO of Large-Scale BU in standup and buildout of the large scale business unit leadership team.
Facilitate formulation of Large Scale strategy - aligned across commercial and site functions.
Lead implementation plan and execution of Large Scale strategy towards our Partner for life and KojoX ambitions.
Responsible for formulating and executing the ESG agenda across the Large Scale business unit, ensuring delivery on a 2030 ESG strategy
Drive strategic communication in a consistent, compelling & aligned voice through appropriate channels to enhance sense of LS belonging and a people first culture
Planning and facilitation of Large Scale Leadership initiatives, meetings and offsites to ensure a strong Large Scale Leadership Team collaboration and cohesion.
Design operational- and governance model of the BU structure including SteerCos for larger projects, SLTs and mandates across
Manage Consultant spend and usage across Large Scale BU sites
Drive the design and execution of a Operational Excellence program across the Large Scale Business Unit.
Consistently drive strategic organizational design and execution across the Large Scale functions.
Prioritization of bigger strategic projects, including Quarterly Business Review to ensure ROI in tight collaboration with finance and commercial.
Ensure that Large Scale BU initiatives involves and aligns with the People First culture we proudly have built.
Ensure effective communication and alignment of objectives between the business unit and individual production sites.
Drive and execute special projects as needed from the LS leadership team and COO.
Ensure senior leadership have the executive support they need for PPTs, meetings, StCs, bookings etc.
Direct manager for team of strategic project managers and matrix manager for EAs, communications and PMOs on sites, as well as all consultants cross the Large Scale BU.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor or Master’s degree required, with minimum 8 years of relevant and related job experience
Min 3-5 years of Leadership Experience required.
Experience acting as strategic partner for CEO / COO / Lead.
Experience leading project managers, a PMO or consultants required.
Experience formulating strategies of highly complex topics necessary.
Experience facilitating c-suite leadership team meetings, offsites and development sessions.
Extensive Project Management experience – including the ability to create plans from scratch.
Experience leading or working with different communications channels and forums.
Proven ability to create followership and collaboration cross areas and in a matrix setting.
Experience leading and working in a larger matrix organization with success is a must.
Strong understanding of ESG / Sustainability.
Strong interpersonal and stakeholder managements skills with ability to navigate, influence, create followship and negotiate in complex and constantly changing high-paced environment, with a proven track record of successfully managing and ensuring cross-functional collaboration and deliver in accordance with plans and expectations.
Ability to travel as needed.
