Description:

We are seeking an experienced SQL Server DBA for a long-term contract role based in Irving, TX or Charlotte, NC. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in SQL Server Administration and will be the subject matter expert for the team. This role involves managing complex databases, troubleshooting, and working on various special initiatives or operations. The DBA will work on performance tuning and optimization, including AlwaysOn configurations, in large, high-tier environments.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in the design, development, and implementation of complex databases.

• Manage and support multiple moderately complex projects.

• Provide leadership and guidance to team members related to special initiatives or operations.

• Troubleshoot and resolve database performance issues.

• Ensure performance tuning of SQL Server environments, especially for AlwaysOn.

• Work under minimal supervision with guidance from seasoned consultants or managers.

• Apply judgment in evaluating problems and selecting appropriate methods for obtaining results.

• Address complex issues and data analysis, requiring in-depth evaluation.

Required Skills:

• 10+ years of experience in SQL Server Administration.

• Expertise in AlwaysOn configurations, performance, and tuning, especially in large high-tier environments.

• Strong technical knowledge and ability to work on complex database-related problems.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and lead activities in special initiatives.

• Experience in working with minimal supervision and providing guidance to other team members.
