Special Education Teacher

Description:

Green Bay Area Public Schools are seeking dedicated Special Education Teachers to join our diverse educational community. This role is crucial in providing academic and behavioral support to students with special education needs, ensuring they receive the necessary tools and guidance to succeed.

As a Special Education Teacher, you will be responsible for developing and implementing differentiated curriculum, managing interventions, and collaborating with service providers to support student growth.

Key Responsibilities:

📌 Student Support & Instruction

• Provide tailored academic and behavioral support to students with special education needs.
• Develop and implement differentiated curriculum and instructional techniques for diverse learning needs.
• Adapt lesson plans as needed to address changing classroom dynamics.

📌 Collaboration & IEP Management

• Work closely with school staff, in-district, and out-of-district service providers.
• Complete Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) accurately and in a timely manner.
• Monitor and assess student interventions, ensuring their effectiveness.

📌 Program Development & Assessment

• Continuously monitor, assess, and adjust educational programs and interventions throughout the school year.
• Support students in their educational journey to help them become college, career, and community ready.

Qualifications:

✔ Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university.
✔ Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction Certification in Cross Categorical K-12 (or willingness to obtain).
