Description:
This position is for a Software Test Engineer who is part of a cross functional team working in an Agile environment performing Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) in developing next generation Unmanned Air Systems (UAS) Ground Control Stations (GCS). This includes integrating new software and payloads into existing the DoD UAS fleet.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- While working in a cross functional team in an Agile Development environment, will perform test engineering tasks including but not limited to:
- Set up, maintain, extend, and use test automation frameworks and tools.
- Create and execute test cases based on project documents, client demands and project objectives.
- Manage requirements and ensure traceability to test cases.
- Manage traceability between test cases and bugs.
- Testing new software in a lab environment while providing feedback to software developers.
- Develop Test Plans, Procedures, and Reports.
- Participate in design reviews with customers.
- Researching test tools, methodologies, trends and upgrading existing practices and processes.
- Complete component, regression, and validation/verification testing on software and hardware components.
- Provide knowledge and expertise during customer test events
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, computer engineering or a related field. Will consider years of related experience in lieu of degree.
- 4+ years of related experience.
- Excellent coding skills with knowledge in C/C++ and Java. Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Design and Programming.
- Understand test automation and implementation.
- Experience in both Linux and Window test environments.
- Understand and debug TCP and UDP packet traffic.
- Passion for testing, quality, development, and design.
- Multi-tasking aptitude.
- Proactive problem solver.
- Capable of troubleshooting multi-platform systems.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
- Up to 25% travel.
