Description:
As a Software Product Engineer II, you will play a pivotal role in our client's Surgical team, contributing to the development, execution, and release activities of various Software versions in compliance with regulatory standards. You will utilize your broad understanding of software development and verification techniques for medical or other regulated systems, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a strong understanding of the software architecture and test strategy, contributing to strategic leadership in software version architecture and release activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop strategic product roadmaps and lead critical sustainability efforts.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, influencing roadmap prioritization and identifying correct timelines.
- Contribute to the creation and prioritization of backlog items, ensuring alignment with product objectives and customer needs.
- Utilize your expertise in Agile/Scrum/SAFe methodologies to drive efficient software development processes.
- Work closely with Quality Assurance to ensure testing meets quality and regulatory requirements.
- Manage, track, and upgrade multiple hardware and software configurations, resolving integration issues as needed.
Required Skills And Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, preferably software or robotics related, with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with no industry relevant experience.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum/SAFe methodologies in a matrix organizational structure.
- Deep understanding of software product development life cycle/process.
- Experience as a Product Owner in an agile environment.
- Familiarity with one or more coding languages, preferably C++.
- Knowledge of medical product development and familiarity with medical device regulations, including IEC 62304.
- Proficiency with SDLC tools such as JIRA, Git, JAMA, Bitbucket (Stash), and Bamboo.
- Strong ability to collaborate with Systems, Mechanical, Electrical, and Software engineers to resolve integration issues.
