Description:
We are seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our growing team. You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable software solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality features from concept to deployment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain software applications using Node.js, React and Ruby on Rails.
- Collaborate with stakeholders cross-functionally to gather and analyze requirements, design solutions, and ensure the successful delivery of software features.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code while adhering to best practices and coding standards.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and share knowledge with the team.
- Work with version control systems (e.g., Git) and contribute to the development process.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate builds, testing, and deployments.
- Debug and troubleshoot complex software issues, providing effective solutions in a timely manner.
- Contribute to architectural decisions and ensure the scalability and reliability of systems.
Ideal Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3+ years of experience in software development, with expertise in Node.js, React and Ruby on Rails.
- Strong understanding of version control systems, such as Git.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and processes.
- Knowledge of testing frameworks and best practices, i.e. RSpec and Selenium.
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools, such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with cloud services like AWS and with database technologies.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Interest in and/or connection to topics such as communities, mentorship, leadership, and belonging.
- Experience working in both a startup and a large company environment.
- Preference for candidates located in the New York tri-state area.
- Must have authorization to work in the United States.
