Software Development Engineer

TikTok Recommendation team is responsible for building one of the worlds largest and most sophisticated recommendation system. We are a backend and infra team to design and implement the recommendation engine itself and the surrounding ecosystems that supports it. Our success metric is that Machines Learning Engineers can swiftly and effortly iterate on the TikTok recommendation system at scale.

Responsibilities - What You'II Do
1. Own backend/systems work for TikTok short video platform. Building world class distributed systems in C++, Python, Java. Building great systems for Product Engineers and users
2. Own the design and implementation of online services, offline data processing systems. Own user engagement metrics, developer efficiency, stability.
3. Implement great compute, storage, monitoring, debug system for product teams.
4. Improve the efficiency of hardware, people, company through technology and management techniques
Qualifications
1. Ownership and proactive thinking
2. Good data structure and programming capability (in any modern programming language).
3. Bonus if having ACM-ICPC experience.
4. Have good taste technically, open to learn, interested in working as a world class engineer.
