The Social Media Manager will lead strategic operations and editorial calendar planning for the brand social team. We move very quickly at T-Mobile and need somebody who is able to maintain an overall and forward-looking view of what’s coming to ensure all social teams are working together and utilizing all of our resources to be our most efficient and successful. They will need to stay on top of social trends, analyze data, and constantly be ready to make strategic recommendations. Tenacity is a must!!

Develop an annual rhythm of the business calendar and maintain a digital assets archive to help drive efficiencies and capacity planning for sustainment content.

  • Using the annual calendar and business priorities as a north star, brainstorm and identify forward-looking opportunities and net-new ideas for cross-collaboration amongst the greater social team.
  • Work with Finance and campaign leads to develop processes and communications to ensure that teams are spending their production budget at a pace consistent with the annual calendar.
  • Integrate with the IPM team to support our social campaign leads by establishing campaign contributors and tactics at each campaign’s onset.
  • Support our team publisher during top tier campaigns, live-posting moments, and when they are out.
  • Analyze Sprinklr and Airtable data to draw insights and optimizations to improve our strategy.
  • Understand social media best practices and stay current with trends, language, outlets and resources to achieve the best performance; research and evaluate emerging and current platforms to recommend how we might adopt or change our approach.

Qualifications: (Minimum required)

  • 4-7 years experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume Social, Marketing, Communications, and/or Public Relations environment, ideally for a large corporation or agency
  • The right candidate’s peers describe them as proactive, creative, unapologetically curious and deeply dedicated
  • Poised and well-spoken in the presence of executive leadership
  • Comfortable multi-tasking and able to deliver results under pressure and under tight deadlines
  • Bullet-proof writing and editing skills, with an ability to edit your own work
  • Deep knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, and YouTube

Education

  • Able to interface with multiple project managers and update project status
  • Video editing and Photoshop skills a plus
  • BA/BS with a focus on Communications, Advertising, Journalism, English, PR, or related field preferred.
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
