Gulf Coast Symphony is looking for a dynamic, creative professional to capture photos, videos, and other content and turn them into engaging social media posts. Enjoy hearing great music and seeing exciting theater, get to know our amazing award-winning performers, and being a part of a fun, creative team. If you possess the requirements below along with a thorough understanding of most social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, Pinterest, TikTok, etc., we would love to hear from you! You must live in Southwest Florida in order to be considered for this position, as it requires regular on location video and photography work.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Assist in planning/managing social media strategy, which is supervised by our Marketing Manager
  • Shoot/edit photos and videos at various locations, including our theater venues
  • Design graphics
  • Write copy
  • Schedule posts
  • Respond to/route comments and messages
  • Track/report on analytics
  • Creative, motivated, proactive
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to work and learn in a fast-paced environment
  • Initiative and ability to perform tasks with little supervision
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, or Media
  • 1-3 years of experience creating content
  • High quality phone/laptop/camera
  • Transportation
  • Social media marketing: 1 year minimum
  • Writing skills: 1 year minimum
  • Residency in Southwest Florida
