Site Development Engineer

Description:

We are looking for a Land Development Civil Engineer to lead and support site development projects. This role involves working closely with project managers, design teams, and clients to develop site plans, grading, stormwater management, erosion control, and permitting documentation. The ideal candidate will have experience in civil/site design and be proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D

Responsibilities:

Design and develop site layouts, grading, earthwork, stormwater management systems, and utility plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Perform and review engineering calculations related to stormwater management, hydrology, and site grading.
Prepare permitting documents and coordinate with local municipalities and regulatory agencies.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to meet project objectives in scope, schedule, and budget.

Support and mentor junior staff and coordinate with drafters to ensure high-quality project deliverables.

Identify and resolve design challenges, providing innovative and cost-effective solutions.

Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations for land development projects.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Professional Engineer (P.E.) license (or ability to obtain within one year).

5+ years of experience in land development and site/civil engineering.

Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D (experience with HydroCAD, Autodesk Vehicle Tracking, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Suite is a plus).

Strong knowledge of stormwater management, erosion control, grading, and permitting processes.

Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.

Experience in coordinating with municipalities and understanding local permitting requirements.

Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
