Description:
We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Developer with expertise in Discovery, Cloud Discovery, and Integrations (Azure, AWS) to join our dynamic team. As a ServiceNow Developer, you will play a vital role in designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining solutions that enhance our ServiceNow platform, optimize IT operations, and ensure smooth system upgrades. Your deep understanding of ServiceNow Discovery, integration capabilities, and technical proficiency in key technologies (JavaScript, AJAX, XML, JSON, CSS, HTML, AngularJS) will be essential in this role.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and configure ServiceNow Discovery and Cloud Discovery solutions to identify and map IT assets, relationships, and dependencies.
- Implement and maintain integrations between ServiceNow and third-party systems, with a focus on Azure and AWS cloud platforms, GitHub actions, using web services and mid-server.
- Expertise in ITSM, ITOM, Catalog Items, and Custom Applications are all desired skills as future facing projects and scopes of work.
- Customize and extend the ServiceNow platform using JavaScript, AJAX, XML, JSON, Python, CSS, HTML, and AngularJS to meet business needs, including the development of business rules, client scripts, UI pages/actions/policies, scheduled jobs, import sets, transform maps, ACLs, and notifications.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute system upgrades, ensuring minimal disruption to the business, and provide administrative support by implementing bug fixes and conducting root cause analysis.
- Conduct thorough testing of new functionalities, configurations, and integrations to ensure high quality and adherence to best practices.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including design documents, development guidelines, integration specifications, upgrade plans, and policies and procedures for the ServiceNow platform and its SDLC.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the ServiceNow platform, collaborating with cross-functional teams during upgrades to ensure seamless integration with other enterprise systems.
- Collaborate with process managers, process analysts, and the Service Management team to understand business functionality, provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers, and share technical knowledge.
- Stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices in the ServiceNow world, continuously improving skills and knowledge in ServiceNow development and tools.
Minimum Qualifications
- Extensive experience integrating ServiceNow with Azure and AWS cloud platforms using web services, APIs, and middleware.
- Proficiency in Python, Powershell, JavaScript, AJAX, XML, JSON, CSS, HTML, and AngularJS for ServiceNow customization and extension.
- Solid understanding of IT service management (ITSM) processes and best practices.
- Experience planning, coordinating, and executing ServiceNow system upgrades, ensuring minimal disruption and data integrity.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
