Key Responsibilities:

The Senior Staff Representative - Flight Operations Technical Illustrator is an essential role, responsible for all illustrations across Flight Operations manuals to include aircraft and non-aircraft specific policies, procedures, and guidance in the global operation. Content produced has safety, regulatory, and operational implications. Content is highly regulated by the FAA and other regulatory organizations and must adhere exactly to specific requirements. The Senior Staff Representative - Flight Operations Technical Illustrator works independently to develop and maintain highly detailed, accurate, timely, and technically compliant graphics used in flight-critical, FAA-approved manuals, documents, and other media. Requires advanced graphic design skills, critical attention to detail, and strict adherence to established standard processes and conventions. Closely collaborates with all customers to support Flight Standards requirements (e.g., illustration of systems, procedures, flows, regional approaches, flowcharts, lanyard cards, general content, etc.) and external department requests, as required. All content developed must align with branding, copyright, and regulatory requirements.

Evaluates, produces, revises, proofs, and maintains highly detailed technical illustrations used in flight operations technical publications that enhance user comprehension and retention
Must effectively communicate and collaborate closely with Technical Writers, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), other internal customers, and external customers, as required (e.g, FAA, OEMs, vendors) to ensure the highest level of quality and accuracy
Develops, handles/maintains graphics library file structure and technically adheres to established, critical standard graphic naming conventions in accordance with documented processes.
Establishes and adheres to critical standard processes/conventions and branding, copyright, and regulatory requirements
Proofs all work for accuracy, monitors cross-fleet graphics for standardization, and resolves questions/concerns prior to submitting to originator for review
This requires critical attention to detail.
Provides master files, job specs, review proofs and approve materials to vendors
Enhances graphics across publications on an ongoing basis
Ensures version control, security of all graphics files, and maintenance of historical archives

Qualifications
What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

Associate degree or equivalent experience
Graphics design, illustration, or related field of study
4+ years’ experience in technical illustration, preferably in aviation-related field
Proficient in technical illustration
Advanced knowledge of Adobe Suite; specifically, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat Pro
Proficient in MS Office and Google Earth Pro
Critical attention to detail
Self-motivated and works independently with limited supervision and direction
Excellent file management skills
Strong problem-solving skills, which include the ability to research issues to make informed decisions
Excellent time management, decision-making, and organizational/project management skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal
Ability to work under time constraints
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
Reliable, punctual attendance is a crucial function of the position

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
5+ years’ experience in technical illustration in aviation-related field
Adobe Certified Professional
Expert in technical illustration
Expert knowledge of Adobe Suite; specifically, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat Pro
Part 121 airline experience, preferably in flight operations
