Description:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer with a passion for solving hard problems. This position is for someone who is able to connect with the vision and growth plan for Leverage and work with the leadership team on a product roadmap that drives towards revenue through technical delivery. You're able to ship code as an individual contributor as well as work with other engineers and designers as a team. We care about character and culture as much as competency. What you'll do:
- Ship code that transforms the Leverage business vision into a functional product.
- Build and iterate on features and tools to help us deeper the way we deliver value for customers.
- Own end to end workflows and complexity.
- Effectively communicate development and product progress with the team and leadership.
- Incrementally improve our product and infrastructure to scale to the 10x and 100x value.
What you'll need:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- 8+ years experience as a software engineer in modern languages, frameworks, and technologies (i.e. React/Redux/Redux Saga, Node, Typescript, PostgreSQL, AWS, etc).
- Maker spirit with a consistent history delivering results as an individual contributor and within a team environment.
- You have a broad set of interests that significantly overlap with the company's values and goals.
- You're excited by the prospect of working in a dynamic and fast-paced startup environment.
- Familiarity with AWS (Amazon Web Services), and knowledge of serverless computing and containerization technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- You're located in NYC and excited about working together in person.
What will make you stand out:
- Prior experience in the supply chain industry.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies is a plus.
