Senior Software Engineer

Description:

Capital One is hiring a Senior Software Engineer - Android to develop cutting-edge Android applications that enhance customer experiences. This role is part of the Enterprise Platforms Technology (EPTech) team, responsible for building enterprise-wide solutions. The engineer will work in agile teams, using the latest Android technologies, Kotlin, and open-source frameworks to build high-quality mobile solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Android Application Development:

✔️ Design and develop Android applications following industry best practices
✔️ Build solutions optimized for mobile devices, including Watch & TV platforms
✔️ Ensure high performance, security, and scalability

Collaboration & Agile Development:

✔️ Work closely with Software Engineers, UX/UI Designers, Quality Engineers, and Product Owners
✔️ Participate in agile ceremonies and deliver high-quality code on schedule
✔️ Review pull requests and follow Kotlin best practices

Leadership & Mentorship:

✔️ Mentor junior and mid-level engineers
✔️ Engage in cross-functional collaboration with API, iOS, and Web teams
✔️ Contribute to internal & external developer communities

Qualifications & Requirements:

Basic Qualifications:

📌 Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
📌 Minimum 3 years of professional Software Engineering experience
📌 Minimum 2 years of experience building Android applications
📌 At least 2 years of experience with Kotlin

Preferred Qualifications:

✅ 3+ years of experience developing Android applications
✅ 3+ years of experience working with Kotlin
✅ 1+ year of experience with open-source frameworks
✅ 1+ year of experience using Agile methodologies

Work Mode & Benefits:
