Description:
The Senior Product Marketing Manager, Unit 42 Incident Response will play a key role in planning and executing the product marketing strategy for our portfolio of Unit 42 Incident Response and Unit 42 Retainers. This involves building positioning & messaging for service launches, campaigns & programs; creating content for digital media, websites, collateral, presentations & sales tools; creating and delivering presentations at industry & analyst events, and partner & client briefings.
You’ll work with some of the world’s top security researchers, incident responders, and security engineers on topics ranging from ransomware and business email compromise to cloud security, nation-state threats and critical infrastructure security. This is a fantastic opportunity to supercharge the scope of the Unit 42 brand and emphasize our elite Incident Response service and product capabilities. You’ll take an already well-established brand in the threat intelligence & research community, and take it to a new level as the elite cybersecurity services provider.
Your Impact
- Build strong product marketing content, including blogs, reports, videos, and presentations, focused on the Unit 42 Incident Response and the Unit 42 Retainer
- Track the Digital Forensics and Incident Response (DFIR) market and competitive landscape, in collaboration with product, marketing, and sales leadership
- Partner with our threat research and security consulting team to communicate clear and powerful messages to establish and differentiate Unit 42 as the elite cybersecurity services provider for DFIR
- Work closely with other Unit 42 teams to contribute annual research reports that generate awareness and thought leadership and drive conversations about the threat landscape, ultimately highlighting our DFIR services and product capabilities
- Partner with the marketing team to develop targeted messaging, content and campaign strategy to create awareness, demand, and engagement for Unit 42 DFIR services and amplify our message, increase engagement, and provide client education
- Spearhead product launches – plan the launch of new products and releases and manage messaging, positioning, collateral development, and drive the product launch
- Support enablement of the Unit 42 and broader global sales teams to help them to understand the threat landscape and effectively articulate and optimally position the value of our solutions to increase win rates
- Be a subject matter expert and a go-to resource for the sales field as they position Unit 42 IR and the Unit 42 Retainer
- Present at internal and external events, highlighting how Unit 42 differentiates the portfolio across all Palo Alto Networks offerings
- Identify metrics and drive regular communication on progress for the product marketing team and the broader marketing team
- Drive Unit 42 DFIR services up-market to the G2K and increase our footprint in the Cyber Insurance and Law Firm space
Qualifications
Your Experience
- Product marketing - Cybersecurity product marketing or sales engineering experience required
- Security Services & Technology - Experience marketing cybersecurity services such as Threat Intelligence, Incident Response and Managed Detection & Response (MDR) - Basic understanding of enterprise security solutions, SOC roles and best practices - Knowledge of EDR, SOAR, XDR, NTA, CDR, UEBA, or SIEM technologies is desirable
- Collaborator - Proven track record of working with matrixed & cross functional teams and establishing strong relationships with threat intelligence teams, marketing and field sales teams
- Storyteller and presenter - An ability to break down complex concepts into extremely simple and clear terms - comfortable creating and delivering presentations in a range of environments
- Writer - Strong written communication is necessary to develop extremely simple and clear messaging, collateral, tools and content for clients, partners & sales
- Technical Aptitude - Ability to understand complex technical concepts and convey them to a wide range of audiences
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent military experience required
