About You
- You are technically minded and have a well-established track record of working with engineers. If you haven’t been a software engineer in the past, you know how to navigate technical complexity and can engage with senior engineers quickly. You should have a laundry list of engineering references who will vouch for you.
- You are obsessed with the customers. You have a strong desire to deliver a high-quality experience for every single user who touches the product. You will drop what you are doing to take a Zoom call with a customer, in fact, you probably talk with several customers every week right now. You would rather talk with customers than work on PRDs or organize Jira.
- You sweat the small details. You know that there’s a conversion rate behind every new feature introduced (or bug that exists in the product). You strive for a bug-free experience and you regularly test key user flows on a weekly basis. If you run into a bug on a demo call, it makes your heart sink.
- You are excited about the opportunity to scale a product from 1 to 10. You should already have experience shipping value to customers at scale. You can see around corners when it comes to shipping new features and will preemptively think about how to mitigate potential problems.
- You have an eye for design. You regularly pair with a product designer to build and optimize features and user flows. Whenever you receive a link to a Figma file, you get excited.
- You have experience in B2B SaaS or subscription-based consumer software. You have experience rallying the team around these business metrics. You enjoy connecting daily work to the bigger picture and key business metrics.
- You have strong product intuition. You understand the value of “gut feel”, but you know that it needs to be backed up with quantitative data and hard evidence too. You understand the value of proper tracking and analytics. You know Amplitude like the back of your hand.
- You have a track record of rallying your team. You can cast an exciting vision of the future and get the entire team to perform at a high-level.
- You are hungry to make an impact. You know that building product is a means to an end. You want to build a major line of business for Zapier that generates meaningful revenue.
- You are a skilled written communicator. Zapier is a 100% remote team and writing is our primary means of communication. You can use written communication to communicate your team’s vision, roadmap, and progress. You know the right tool for the job whether it’s managing the day-to-day cadence of projects or building cross-company momentum around a project.
- You love doing things efficiently. At Zapier, the work you do will have a disproportionate impact on the business. We believe in systems and processes that let us scale our impact to be larger than ourselves.
Things You’ll Do
- Own Product Lifecycle: Lead the process from ideation to launch, working with cross-functional teams.

- Customer Development: Regularly engage with customers to understand their needs and inform product decisions.
- Analyze Metrics: Utilize tools like Amplitude to make data-informed decisions.
- Optimization: Conduct A/B tests to enhance user experience and conversion rates.
- Lead Teams: Coordinate with engineers, designers, and marketers to complete projects.
- Stakeholder Updates: Regularly update all stakeholders (including executives) through effective written communication.
