Description:
Responsibilities: In this role you will:
- Lead the development and qualification of MOCVD processes
- Develop measurement methods and sub-processes needed to manufacture HTS layers with high quality
- Develop and maintain production-related documentation, ensuring said documents are accurate, up to date, and reflect current GMP (cGMP)
- Lead manufacturing improvement events driving Lean initiatives to improve processes utilizing various toolbox items. (6S, VSM, Kaizen, Visual Mgmt, Poka-yoke, 3P, ...)
- Developing and maintain systems to drive continuous improvement in areas of cost, quality, safety, lead time, and use of working capital
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will
- Hold a Masters or Ph D in Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related discipline with 5-10 years of relevant industry experience
- Have prior experience in one or more of the tool box items (6S, VSM, Kaizen, Visual Mgmt, Poka-yoke, 3P, ...)
- Have prior experience in epitaxy, CVD, or PVD of thin films or coatings
- Is a strategic problem solver and valued collaborator who can design and execute on a vision while working multiple problems. Is a great communicator who is able to distill complex problems into concise statements; you are comfortable working with and balancing competing priorities of multiple projects and teams operating in different regions and cultures.
