Senior Part Time Accountant

This position will oversee all of our book-keeping and accounting functions including preparing journal entries, account reconciliations on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis, preparing all monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports for senior management (including P & L and Balance Sheet) managing the chart of accounts, year-end inventory deductions, AR and other standard accounting processes.

For this position you must be proficient in QuickBooks Online, NetSuite and Excel. Our ideal candidate is a CPA who is collaborative, entrepreneurial, has great communication skills.

Ideally you have had previous experience at an accounting firm or CPG company where you oversaw similar tasks including reporting of retail revenue, wholesale revenue., affiliate revenue, sales commissions, affiliate payments and year-end inventory costs and deductions.

You should be eager to learn, and excited to join a rapidly growing wellness CPG company. We are looking for self-starters who are excited about our wellness product and who are looking for a company they can grow with and contribute to our growth with new ideas.

You will also oversee and help file our annual taxes (that will be prepared by you or an outside accounting firm).

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

• Accounting degree from college or university
• 3-5 years at public accounting firm and/or CPG company
• CPA preferred, or planned path to obtain CPA license
• Proficiency in Quick Books Online, NetSuite and Excel are required (3-5 years)
• Desire to constantly be learning and improve skills and knowledge
• Big picture mindset to understand the impact of accounting decisions on our company’s growth, planning and taxes
• Willingness to roll-up your sleeves when work needs to get done
• Excited to be working at a rapidly growing wellness company
• Ability to work independently/hybrid and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
• Strong oral and written skills and the ability to communicate
• We will require at least 3 accounting references
