Senior Network Engineer

Description:

We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer with 5+ years’ experience managing network infrastructure technology in the energy industry. Experience in project management and an understanding of how projects are run. We are seeking professionals who can resolve problems in a complex and enterprise environment.

Carries out moderately complex information systems and/or information technology tasks within more than one discipline, such as PC support, server support, network support as well as telecommunications, and infrastructure administration, analysis, engineering, and design.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Monitors and supports the information technology and systems infrastructures.

Conducts complex analysis including planning, designing, and evaluating a variety of information technology tools.

Manage, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot the current network infrastructure including remote sites.

Serves as the backup to respond to user requests for system needs and upgrades or handles requests that are more complex.

Troubleshoots and resolves complex problems in an efficient manner with little to no supervision.

Implements standards for computer operations for compatibility between hardware and software, according to specifications and parameters.

Administers, runs tests on, and maintains operating system and related software.

Schedules, performs, and monitors system backups and, when necessary, per recoveries.

Performs root cause analysis, diagnostics, and monitoring on various production systems.

Identifies opportunities for process improvements and works with team members to implement efficiencies.

Effectively create and maintain relevant systems documentation and user guides.

Apply scripting methodologies to automate IT Admin related tasks.

Ability to read/interpret and create network diagrams, schematics, and documentation.
