Senior Manager Software Engineer

Description:

Capital One is hiring a Senior Manager Software Engineer to lead a team of developers working on distributed microservices, full-stack systems, and cloud-based solutions. The role is part of the Enterprise Platforms Technology (EPTech) team, responsible for delivering high-impact enterprise-wide technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Management:

✔️ Lead multiple technology projects and manage a team of developers
✔️ Drive technology innovation and implement best engineering practices
✔️ Mentor and develop engineers while fostering a collaborative team culture

Software Development & Architecture:

✔️ Design and implement distributed microservices and full-stack systems
✔️ Utilize JavaScript, Java, TypeScript, SQL, Python, Go, and cloud technologies
✔️ Work with Open Source RDBMS, NoSQL databases, Docker, and Kubernetes

Cloud & Agile Development:

✔️ Develop cloud-native applications using AWS, GCP, or Azure
✔️ Follow Agile development practices and lead cross-functional collaboration
✔️ Stay updated on tech trends and contribute to internal & external communities

Qualifications & Requirements:

Basic Qualifications:

📌 Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
📌 Minimum 6 years of professional Software Engineering experience
📌 Minimum 1 year of experience with cloud computing (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
📌 At least 4 years of experience in people management

Preferred Qualifications:

✅ Master’s Degree in a relevant field
✅ 9+ years of experience in JavaScript, Java, TypeScript, SQL, Python, or Go
✅ 3+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure
✅ 4+ years of experience with open-source frameworks
✅ 7+ years of experience in people management
✅ 2+ years of experience in Agile methodologies

Work Mode & Benefits:
