Being a senior manager or associate principal at ECG is a significant leadership position within the firm, a stepping-stone to the role of partner, and an opportunity to own equity in the firm. A senior manager/associate principal is on the path to becoming, or has already emerged as, an industry thought leader capable of managing and selling complex engagements with superior client relationship-management skills.
Your Responsibilities May Include:
- Participating in people development.
- Collaborating in the continued growth and development of the firm’s SBA division.
- Leading projects and being the primary point of contact for clients.
- Managing multiple engagements and project teams.
- Contributing to firm growth by identifying and pursuing follow‑on and new business opportunities.
- Marketing and collaboratively selling $500,000 to $1.5 million plus in annual consulting revenue.
- Actively collaborating with other ECG divisions and practice areas to pursue and deliver on new engagements.
- Playing an integral role in the recruitment and development of staff consultants.
- Developing and delivering thought leadership on a national stage.
- Being a leader in the firm and contributing to ECG’s culture and success.
- Participating in firm and division management.
Our Expectations of You
- Outstanding drive, determination, and desire to be part of a growing, elite-level consulting firm
- Strong knowledge of and passion for the healthcare sector
- Ten-plus years of experience in consulting to healthcare providers and serving hospitals and health systems—ideally including experience with assisting children’s hospitals and/or academic medical centers
- Demonstrated record of solving complex problems, directing and managing individuals, and completing challenging projects
- Track record of managing multiple engagements, including work plans, deliverables, budgets and schedules, and accounts receivable
- Demonstrated record of achievement in selling and managing engagements
- Active engagement as a thought leader through marketing activities such as networking with potential clients, participating in professional societies, and publishing and presenting thought leadership (whitepapers, speeches, and articles)
- Demonstrated focus on staff development, coaching, and retention, with a refined ability to provide constructive and timely feedback
- Master’s degree in business administration and/or a health-related field (with bachelor’s degree in business or a health-related field preferred)
- Strong written and verbal presentation skills
- Ability to travel at least 50% of the time
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain deep client relationships
