Description:
As Senior Manager of Business Development, you are responsible for analysis to define our strategic direction, identify business opportunities as well as participating in and supervising teams to pursue those opportunities. Among specific areas of responsibility:
- Identify new recycling growth opportunities across the recycling value chain from scrap sourcing and sorting to production of aluminum products (greenfield and brownfield) and mature them in close collaboration with management
- Identify potential acquisition targets, perform valuation analysis, and participate in teams to pursue acquisition opportunities
- Support further development of Hydro’s current recycling asset portfolio in collaboration with asset managers
- Perform profitability analysis of recycling investment proposals
- Act as project manager for specific identified recycling projects
- Support North American management team with analysis of market data and trends
Desired qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Economics, Engineering or Finance. MBA strongly preferred
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience from business development, management consulting, and/or business strategy
- Ability to move from analysis to strategic implications to project implementation
- Interest for quantitative and analytical tasks
- Advanced in Microsoft Office package, primarily Excel and PowerPoint. PowerBI experience a plus, as is experience with SAP
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently and manage internal and external resources to deliver projects
