Description:
The Senior, IT Contract Analyst will be responsible for reviewing, analyzing, negotiating, and monitoring various complex IT contracts and agreements. The IT Contract Analyst will facilitate and monitor the contract approval process from contract generation to contract execution for all IT contracts; and serves as the custodian of records for all contracts. Your primary goal will be to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, mitigate risks, and optimize vendor relationships. This role requires excellent analytical and communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of IT contract management principles and practices.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Contracts Administration
- Analyzes vendor technology purchasing decisions, asset purchases, as well as forecasts future needs, and develops insights on market trends and patterns. Utilizes this information to streamline the contract execution process when procuring deliverables or services from vendors.
- Facilitates, participates and leads meetings with internal and external stakeholders to provide guidance on contract related risks, requirements, and terms before execution.
- Conducts complex negotiations with vendors; negotiating key terms, pricing and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Independently reviews, analyzes, and negotiates various IT vendor contracts, including, but not limited to, Software License Agreements, IT Maintenance Agreements, and Reseller Agreements; identifying risks, obligations and opportunities prior to execution.
- Assists in the development and implementation of contract management policies, procedures, and control processes, as requested.
- Ensures contracts are executed in compliance with established policies, regulations, and legal requirements.
- Monitors and coordinates the contract approval process and serves as the Custodian of Records for all contracts.
- Conducts periodic contract audits to verify contractual compliance, ensuring that required legal terms and conditions are included per policy.
Vendor Management
- Seeks to builds and maintain long-term, mutually beneficial vendor relationships with new and existing vendors.
- Monitors vendors performance in alignment with established Service Level Agreements (SLAs) through conducting periodic vendor performance reviews; addressing and mitigating issues with vendor.
- Manages vendor relationships in accordance with regulatory requirements, the established framework, processes, and policies.
- Prepares periodic reports and presentations, as requested, for senior management concerning vendor performance, metrics and key findings.
Financial Management
- Prepares periodic financial reports and presentations, as requested, for senior management.
- Stays informed about IT market industry financial trends to optimize new and existing vendor contract value.
Minimum Requirements
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Bachelor's Degree; preferably in Business Administration, Legal Studies, Finance or related field.
- Legal background is desired.
- Five (5) years of experience as a Contract Analyst or similar role, preferably with a focus on technology.
- Strong understanding of IT contracts, licensing models, and industry-standard terms and conditions or equivalent combination of education and experience.
