Are you an experienced and driven graphic designer looking to elevate your career? We are seeking a Senior Graphic Designer to join our rapidly growing marketing team at our Gainesville, FL office. As a senior member of the creative team, you will lead design projects across various industries, mentor junior designers, and collaborate closely with the Creative Director to shape the visual strategy for our clients. This is a unique opportunity to influence and innovate within a wide range of creative projects, including brand kits, print and digital collateral, web design, and more.
Key Responsibilities
- Creative Leadership & Strategy: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including the Creative Director, Marketing Managers, and Digital Content Specialists, to develop design concepts and strategies that align with client goals. Provide guidance and direction on creative approaches, ensuring consistency and excellence in all visual outputs.
- Project Management & Execution: Lead the design execution of complex projects for diverse clients across 25+ industries, including non-profits, Fortune 30 companies, B2B, and B2C sectors. Take ownership of project design timelines, from initial brainstorming and conceptualization to final delivery.
- Brand Development & Implementation: Create and refine brand identities for new and existing clients, ensuring all designs adhere to brand guidelines while pushing the boundaries of creativity. Oversee the development of cohesive brand kits, logos, and visual assets that resonate across multiple platforms.
- Mentorship & Team Collaboration: Mentor junior designers, providing constructive feedback and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Facilitate team discussions and brainstorming sessions to inspire fresh, innovative ideas.
- Innovative Design Solutions: Continually develop and implement new, creative ideas for visual storytelling that enhance client messaging. Experiment with design techniques and software to maintain a competitive edge and stay ahead of design trends.
- Digital & Print Expertise: Design and produce a variety of print and digital materials, such as brochures, flyers, social media graphics, and environmental pieces. Implement best practices for digital and print production, ensuring high-quality outputs every time.
- Website Design & UX/UI: Lead website design projects, creating functional and visually compelling website mockups and wireframes using Adobe XD or Figma. Collaborate with web developers to bring these designs to life, ensuring user-centric experiences and seamless navigation.
- Video Production & Editing: Support video content creation by leading the production and editing of short-form videos, including promotional content, brand stories, and social media clips using Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, or Final Cut Pro.
Any focus area will be considered. Print, digital, or web. We don't expect you to be an expert in each.
Desired Qualifications
- Educational Background: Post-secondary education in graphic design or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and professional experience will also be considered.
- Professional Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in graphic design, advertising, or marketing with a strong portfolio demonstrating a range of design capabilities. Prior experience in a senior or leadership role is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD, InDesign), and other relevant design software. Familiarity with HTML and CSS is a plus.
- Portfolio: A compelling portfolio showcasing a broad range of creative projects that highlight your ability to deliver impactful and polished designs for a variety of industries.
