Description:
As a member of Global Finance team, the Senior Financial Analyst or Manager of Usage Analytics will play a pivotal role in driving financial insights and strategic decision-making for our evolving E365 Consumption commercial offering. With a primary focus on analyzing usage data, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to provide a comprehensive financial analysis, forecast future usage patterns, and contribute to the continuous refinement of the Commercial Program. This position demands a blend of financial acumen, analytical prowess, a keen understanding of software usage dynamics, and ability to work with large data sets.
Your Day To Day
- Develop an understanding of Bentley’s business model and how our users use our products.
- Produce executive-friendly reporting to distill/synthesize trends across segments, products, features, and cloud platforms to understand customer behavior and inform decision-making on customer programs and investments.
- Collaborate with our Data team to build new forecasting models and improve existing models through new features to guide deeper business insights
- Work with our Sales and User Success teams to understand how customer use cases will affect future usage
- Partner with Sales and User Success to build models to inform target setting and quotas
- Lead the analysis of usage data, identifying trends, patterns, and opportunities for optimization
- Collaborate with product, user success, and sales teams to understand customer behavior and align usage analytics with revenue forecasts
- Contribute to the development and refinement of the Consumption Program, including pricing review
- Provide regular and ad-hoc financial forecasts, highlighting key drivers and risks
- Communicate financial insights to non-financial stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) related to product usage and revenue
- Monitor and report on KPIs, providing insights into performance against targets
- Drive initiatives to improve the accuracy and granularity of usage data
- Proactively identify areas for process improvement in financial modeling and analytics
What You Bring To The Team
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, related field (Master’s/MBA a plus), or relevant training and experience
- Proven experience in financial analysis, preferably in a software or technology company
- Strong proficiency in data analysis tools (SQL, Excel, etc.) and experience with data visualization tools (PowerBI, Qlik)
- Familarity with software usage metrics and a SaaS business model
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to a diverse audience.
- WorkDay Adaptive knowledge and experience a plus.
- Experience working for or serving companies in the software or technology industry.

- This is a full-time role expected to work 40 hours per week, based in our Exton, PA office.
