As the Senior Director of Working Capital, you will play a vital role in managing and optimizing the organization's working capital to support its financial health and operational efficiency. Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing strategies to effectively manage cash flow, accounts payable, inventory, and other working capital components. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive working capital improvements, streamline processes, and enhance financial performance.

Working Capital Management: Develop and implement strategies and initiatives to optimize working capital components, including cash management, accounts payable, and inventory. Monitor and analyze working capital metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing effective cash flow management practices.

Cash Flow Forecasting: Lead the development of robust cash flow forecasting models and processes, providing accurate and timely cash flow projections to support financial planning and decision-making. Anticipate cash flow fluctuations, assess liquidity needs, and recommend appropriate actions to manage cash effectively.

Accounts Payable: Oversee the management of accounts payable functions, ensuring timely and accurate billing, collection, and payment processes. Implement credit policies, monitor customer creditworthiness, and drive collections to optimize cash conversion cycles.

Inventory Management: Develop and implement inventory management strategies and processes to optimize inventory levels, reduce carrying costs, and minimize obsolescence. Collaborate with supply chain and operations teams to implement effective demand planning, forecasting, and replenishment practices.

Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within working capital management functions. Streamline workflows, enhance system capabilities, and leverage technology solutions to drive operational efficiency and enhance accuracy in financial transactions.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, procurement, sales, and operations, to align working capital management strategies with overall business objectives. Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including banks and financial institutions, to optimize working capital initiatives and drive performance improvement.

Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with working capital management, such as credit risks, liquidity risks, and supply chain disruptions. Implement appropriate controls, policies, and procedures to manage and mitigate working capital-related risks.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a track record of driving results and managing cross-functional initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing working capital strategies to improve financial performance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and identify areas for improvement.
