We are seeking a Senior Controls Engineer to join our client's team in Wilmington, MA, US.
Job Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities:
💼 Design, implement, and commission automation systems for industrial processes, including control system architecture, PLC/DCS programming, and HMI/SCADA development.
💼 Lead projects through all phases, including conceptual design, implementation, testing, start-up, and commissioning.
💼 Oversee team performance, budgets, scheduling, and task prioritization while ensuring project profitability.
💼 Act as a technical lead, providing mentorship to engineers and technicians.
💼 Ensure compliance with regulatory standards in the life sciences industry, such as cGMP and 21 CFR Part 11.
Requirements:
✅ Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Control, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering, or Computer Science.
✅ 10+ years of process automation experience in life sciences, with expertise in Batch S88 systems (small molecule liquid or powder facilities).
✅ Strong proficiency in PLC platforms (Rockwell, Siemens, Modicon), HMI/SCADA systems (GE iFIX, Ignition, FactoryTalk), and DCS platforms (Emerson DeltaV, PlantPAx).
✅ Familiarity with industrial networking protocols (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, OPC) and relational databases (SQL, Oracle).
✅ Demonstrated ability to manage and lead automation projects with budgets up to $1M.
✅ Excellent technical writing, communication, and problem-solving skills.
