Senior Construction Project Manager

 

Description:

The Data Center Sr. Construction Project Manager will oversee and manage the construction of state-of-the-art data centers across multiple locations. The role involves ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and adhere to the highest quality standards. Responsibilities include managing schedules, budgets, overseeing contractors, coordinating design teams, and ensuring project compliance with quality and safety standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Act as the on-site representative for the owner, managing and overseeing data center construction projects.

  2. Establish strong relationships with the owner to understand project requirements, goals, and constraints.

  3. Bring best practices and innovative solutions to improve efficiency in design and construction processes.

  4. Maintain project schedules, cost controls, and reporting in alignment with client requirements.

  5. Oversee and manage the General Contractor's compliance with contracts, budgets, and schedules.

  6. Perform contractor pre-qualification, bidding, and evaluation processes.

  7. Coordinate with design teams to ensure compliance with client guidelines and standards.

  8. Assist with city approvals, permitting, and constructability reviews.

  9. Manage financial aspects of the project, including cash flow projections and budgeting.

  10. Oversee the commissioning and punch list processes, resolving any disputes or quality issues.


Required Qualifications:

  1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related technical field (Preferred).

  2. Experience:

    • 7+ years in construction management or general contractor experience.

    • 5+ years of experience in mission-critical/data center construction management.

  3. Strong knowledge of commercial construction design, bidding, and execution processes.

  4. Proficiency in cost management, forecasting, and project scheduling.

  5. Excellent organizational and project management skills.

  6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  7. Financial acumen and ability to connect data to project objectives.

  8. Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams and senior management.
