Senior Civil Engineer

Senior Civil Engineer candidates with an interest and experience in land development and/or public infrastructure projects are encouraged to apply to our Pleasanton or Roseville, CA locations using the “Apply” link. B.S. in Civil Engineering or related field from an ABET accredited university is required. Registration as a Professional Civil Engineer in California is mandatory. Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Senior Civil Engineers work under the general direction of our Operations Managers, Engineering Managers, and/or Senior Project Managers on a wide range of land development and/or public infrastructure projects. Land development projects include residential, commercial, industrial and mixed-use developments. Public infrastructure projects include sanitary sewer, water supply, water resources and storm drainage. Responsibilities may include land use entitlements, civil design/modeling (grading, earthwork, hydrology and hydraulics, etc.), supervision of staff related to drafting and plan production, mentoring and training staff, coordination with clients, public agencies and other consultants, preparation of proposals, contracts, change orders, schedules, billing, etc.

Desired Skills & Experience

· 10+ years of land development and/or public infrastructure design experience in California.

· Expertise in grading, storm drainage/flood control, and water/sewer system design is desired.

· Project management experience is a plus.

· Experience with land use entitlements in California is desired.

· Excellent written and oral communication skills are required.

Software used in this role may include: AutoCAD Civil3D, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project), HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, XP-Storm, and WaterCAD.
