Description:
The Business Development Manager is responsible for direct marketing/sales activities for military training systems, training, distributed training architectures, and other related technical support services to Government agencies and/or private firms doing government business.

- Develop and maintain customer relationships with both domestic and foreign civilian and military personnel
- Identify, qualify, and capture new business opportunities
- Develop and implement new business pursuit strategies
- Participate and assist in the formulation of business strategies and planning
- Perform customer and competitive analysis in support of business and marketing strategies
- Develop in-depth understanding of customer acquisition methods, decision making and funding/budget processes
- Coordinate and work with cross-functional teams involved in the development of business/market strategies and customer proposals
- Advise team members and senior management on status and/or actions required in connection with existing and potential new business opportunities
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- 10+ Years of Navy Strike-Fighter/Electronic Attack (FA-18E/F, EA-18G, F-35 preferred) experience.
- Military acquisition experience a plus, NAVAIR preferred
- Bachelor's degree in related discipline or equivalent work experience
- U.S or Foreign military experience is a plus
- Good analytical skills relating to business development processes
- Experience and understanding of new business capture processes, methods and techniques preferred
- Microsoft office skills, including PowerPoint required
- Ability to make formal presentations to senior decision makers
- Experience developing proposals
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of DoD distributed training environments required, Navy's NCTE preferred
