Description:
Supports the administration of health and welfare, retirement, 401(k), disability and other employee benefit programs. Serves as employee advocate to facilitate benefit transactions/events and issue resolution between employees and vendors. Implements, coordinates, and maintains benefit programs and processes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Administers the eligibility, enrollment and compliance processes for health and welfare plans, retirement, 401(k), long term disability, short term disability, the Family Medical Leave Act and workers compensation benefits.
Develops and maintains desk procedures for all benefit transactions and data feeds with third party vendors.
Coordinates with the recruiting team to ensure accurate communication and timely processing for new hires.
Acts as liaison between employees and retirees and the various third party vendors.
Supports annual enrollment processes including employee meetings, communications, data and system updates.
Prepares benefit vendor payments and related purchase orders. Maintains all payment records, responds to inquiries regarding payments and manages the reconciliation process.
Maintains all plan documents and vendor contracts in compliance with corporate records retention policies.
Assists in implementation of new programs, plans or policies.
Identifies opportunities for improving service delivery methods and procedures and reviews with appropriate management staff to implement improvements.
Performs other special projects and related duties as assigned.
Ensures all compliance aspects of position are known and followed; understands and complies with all policies, codes and regulations applicable to position and company.

Essential Education, Skills, and Environment
Education and Work Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Management or a related field and 3 years of human resources experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
