Description:
Eliassen Group is hiring a Senior Automation Engineer to develop test automation solutions and conduct functional testing for financial applications in the brokerage industry. This role involves working closely with software developers, architects, and Capital Markets product teams to ensure high-quality, automated testing solutions. The engineer will also advocate for agile methodologies, audit compliance, and CI/CD pipeline integration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain Java-based automation test suites using Selenium, Cucumber, and JUnit.
- Conduct functional testing, regression testing, and quality control in an agile environment.
- Collaborate with developers and product teams to ensure automation aligns with business needs.
- Debug, reproduce issues, isolate problems, and verify fixes.
- Ensure CI/CD integration and automated test execution in Jenkins pipelines.
- Work with Git, GitHub, and Artifactory for version control and artifact management.
- Conduct web services testing and API validation (REST API).
- Write and execute complex SQL queries for data validation.
Candidate Requirements:
- Strong background in brokerage industry financial applications (Fixed income product knowledge is a plus).
- Hands-on experience with Java, Cucumber, Selenium, JUnit for test automation.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience in writing complex queries.
- Cloud Computing and DevOps knowledge, including CI/CD pipelines with Git and Jenkins.
- Web services testing expertise with REST API validation.
- Experience in Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA.
- Ability to mentor, communicate, and collaborate effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ownership of tasks.
Preferred Skills:
- Multi-stack expertise in Java, JavaScript, Angular, HTTP, RESTful web services.
- Knowledge of eCommerce and application integration.
Education Requirement:
🎓 4-year Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
