Senior Audit Associate

 

Description:

A Senior Audit Associate performs and supervises a broad range of accounting, auditing, and consulting activities for clients, including healthcare entities, not-for-profit clients, casinos and the hospitality industry, financial institutions, commercial businesses, and local and tribal governments.

Essential Functions
 

  • Provides continuous attention, communication, and coordination to clients.
  • Builds relationships with senior level client personnel.
  • Obtains client expectations from management team and strategizes plan to meet client expectations.
  • Informs Principal and Manager about issues, helps prepare information to be communicated to client and documents key client discussions.
  • Develops project hour/cost budgets.
  • Provides supervision, assistance and feedback to staff.
  • Provides timely information about scope changes and informs Manager and/or Principal; and
  • Coordinates with Manager and/or principal to achieve committed deadlines.
     

Knowledge And Skills
 

  • Knowledgeable of AICPA professional standards.
  • Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) pronouncements.
  • Governmental Accounting Standard Board (GASB) pronouncements.
     

Qualifications
 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Passed, conditioned or qualified to take the CPA exam.
  • A minimum of two years' work experience in public accounting.
  • Willing to travel
  • Must be located in either OKC, Salem OR, Phoenix, or Albuquerque.
