Description:
Seeking a Senior Apigee Operations Engineer to join Enterprise Integration and Operations Team for a Fortune 100 client. This role involves managing and supporting the API Developer Portal, leading the operations support team, and engaging with customers and vendors. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Apigee platform, Azure Kubernetes, CI/CD practices, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and support the API Developer Portal, including onboarding new partners.
- Lead the operations support team to provide 24/7 support for the Apigee platform.
- Engage with customers and vendors, plan sprints for enhancements and upgrades.
- Develop and maintain proxies and shared flows within the Apigee platform.
- Install and configure Apigee on Azure Kubernetes and understand Azure networking components.
- Implement automation via CI/CD practices for deployment and testing.
- Support hybrid implementation of Apigee on Azure Kubernetes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 8+ years of IT experience within software engineering.
- Extensive experience in designing and developing APIs using the Apigee platform.
- In-depth knowledge of API design principles, RESTful architectures, and web services.
- Expertise in implementing API security mechanisms such as OAuth, JWT, and API keys.
- Proven experience in architecting scalable and high-performance API solutions.
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture and API-driven development.
- Strong understanding of underlying Cassandra database used by Apigee.
- Understanding of KVM requirements for proxies.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and containerization technologies such as AWS, Azure, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in CI/CD practices and tools for automated deployment and testing.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
- Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
