LHH is partnering with a global manufacturing client that is looking to hire an experienced Senior Accountant to join their team in Mansfield, TX. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the financial operations of a dynamic organization, with a focus on ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance. This in-office position offers a salary range of $85K to $90K along with a comprehensive benefits package. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and post general ledger entries, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
- Execute monthly close procedures, including reconciling general ledger accounts and analyzing financial statements.
- Analyze cost center expenses, address variances, and provide actionable insights to management.
- Prepare tax data for state and federal filings and assist with sales and use tax reporting across various jurisdictions.
- Reconcile bank accounts and intercompany balances, resolving discrepancies with partners and foreign currency exchange.
- Assist with financial and tax audits, including preparing necessary documentation and reports.
- Post journal entries at month-end and handle a low volume of accounts payable processing as needed.
- Manage weekly wire transfers, ensuring proper documentation and approvals through the banking system.
- Monitor sales tax exceptions on vendor invoices, conducting research and follow-ups on flagged issues using Vertex and SAP systems.
- Document and monitor internal controls to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Participate in special projects and initiatives to support the broader accounting team’s goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business.
- At least 5 years of accounting experience, ideally with a manufacturing, industrial equipment, construction, oil and gas company or similar industry.
- SAP software experience is required
- Foreign exchange experience and or hedging is preferred
- Sales and Use Tax filing experience is preferred
- Strong analytical skills with experience preparing and posting general ledger entries.
