Bluewater Hayes is a nationally recognized search firm focusing on Technically Oriented value add placements for companies throughout North America. We are currently working with an award-winning specialty chemical distributor that has seen strong growth over the past 5 years. They have retained us to assist in their search for an Account Specialist focused on sales in their CASE, Plastics, and Rubber Divisions. The purpose of this position is to both manage an existing account base as well as to increase account growth through new business in 2024.
Essential Responsibilities:
• MUST HAVE: Proven experience selling Specialty Chemicals in the Coatings (CASE), Plastics, and Rubber markets.
• Create both short- and long-term strategies for customer, product, and market development
• Develop meaningful relationships with customers in the territory as a resource
• Support supplier’s product development through joint visits at facilities within the territory, and participate in the education of product lines, new chemistries, and innovation
• Monitor customer, market, and competitive activity in the territory and provide feedback to management
• Attend trade shows and assist with company presentations
Qualifications:
• Strong customer orientation with excellent communication skills
• Experience selling Specialty Chemicals in CASE, Plastics, and Rubber markets
• Track record of success in California with strong project management skills
• Focused on developing and providing solutions
• Self-motivated, go getter, driven to perform at the highest level
• Team player, willing to contribute and support the group in order to meet company goals
