Security Officer

Description:

The University of Iowa Campus Safety is seeking a Security Officer to be located at the Stanley Museum of Art. This position is responsible for patrolling assigned area on foot to ensure protection of building occupants as well as property and equipment in addition to controlling and monitoring the access in and out of the building.

This position is performed fully on campus.

Duties to include:

• Check museum galleries and surrounding areas
• Assist/direct staff, students, and visitors
• Reporting discrepancies and hazards and notifying museum staff and police.
• Use of portable radio communication, body cameras, and departmental vehicles
• Use of alarm systems and video surveillance cameras.
• Traversing building inside and outdoors in all weather conditions
