Responsibilities:
- Review discrepancies in data received and advise the Supervisor as needed.
- Assists with manipulating data from large data sets using excel or Google Sheets.
- Respond to written inquiries from abstract authors within two business days involving author abstract submissions while providing superb customer service.
- Use judgment to determine if information needs to be sent to additional departments based on the subject of corrections.
- Researches and creates member account information using Nimble for members and non-members.
- Assists with gathering and packing supplies for shipment of material sent to offsite meetings.
- Responsible for editing and processing contributed and invited abstract information for unit meetings, including the March and April meetings.
- Some travel to annual and unit meetings may be required to assist with on-site registration or at the Abstract Help Desk during association events.
- Assists with additional departmental dues as assigned by the Supervisor.
- Administers and efficiently enters data into a specialized abstract management database, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Generates reports using available information while maintaining and updating author abstract details to ensure data integrity. Handles a substantial volume of inquiries from abstract Authors.
- Assist staff with data entry, including proofing data for accuracy.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education: A High School diploma and or equivalent is required.
Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Minimum of two years of relevant work experience or customer service center experience.
- Demonstrates exceptional proficiency in data entry, with a keen eye for detail.
- Experience with the Sales Force/Nimble database is preferred, and familiarity with the Planstone.
- Abstract Management System is a valuable advantage.
- Proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets is essential, mainly when dealing with extensive datasets.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and meet diverse deadlines.
- Exceptional written and oral communication abilities, including proficient editing and proofreading skills.
- Outstanding attention to precision and detail.
- Capacity to adapt swiftly to evolving schedules and circumstances.
- Effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and self-reliant work capabilities.
