Scheduling & Order Management Support

 

Description:

We are seeking a Production Planning Assistant to support scheduling, order management, material coordination, reporting, and process improvement efforts. This role is ideal for candidates pursuing a career in supply chain, production execution, or business management.

Key Responsibilities:

Scheduling & Order Management Support

  • Assist in updating production schedules and work orders in the ERP system.
  • Track and communicate changes to planned orders and work-in-progress.
  • Help manage backlog reports and ensure data accuracy for scheduling.
  • Coordinate schedule adjustments as directed by Production Planners.

Material & Supply Coordination

  • Monitor material availability and escalate shortages.
  • Assist in expediting purchased and internally sourced materials.
  • Maintain tracking sheets for material flow and order status.

Administrative & Reporting Support

  • Generate and distribute routine production status and order completion reports.
  • Assist with documentation and routing of R&D production orders.
  • Maintain and update key material master data (e.g., yields, batch sizes).
  • Track KPIs and production metrics for the planning team.

Process Support & Continuous Improvement

  • Support recovery planning for late orders by gathering necessary data.
  • Identify and document process improvements for scheduling tasks.
  • Assist with troubleshooting ERP system scheduling discrepancies.
  • Provide general support for planning-related tasks as needed.

Education & Experience:

High School Diploma required.
Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Management, or related field (Preferred).
Applicants currently in school are encouraged to apply.
Candidates studying supply chain or production execution will be given preference.

Skills Required:

Proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel.
Strong attention to detail & accuracy in data entry.
Effective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
Ability to multi-task & prioritize assignments in a fast-paced environment.
Must be authorized to work with export-controlled hardware and technical data.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:

📍 General office environment with occasional visits to production areas.
💻 Ability to sit at a computer for extended periods.
📦 Must be able to lift at least 10 lbs for routine office tasks.
