Description:
Queens County Farm is seeking an Education Scheduler. Under the direct supervision of the Director of Education, the Education Scheduler is responsible for the day-to-day scheduling of the Farm’s various youth and other education programs. This position encompasses administrative scheduling, working directly with educators and youth, and opportunities for hands-on gardening, farming, and participation in our weekend events.
Queens County Farm is well-known for its exciting, hands-on field trip offerings, which have been serving NYC students and teachers for over thirty years. Queens County Farm hosts over 30,000 students for field trips annually, visiting the Farm from all boroughs and Long Island. Additionally, the farm hosts adult education programming, off-site after school programming, a summer day camp, and educational components of numerous public events.
Responsibilities
● Primary scheduler for education programs including, but not limited to: daily field trips, off-site after school programs, scouting programs, summer camp operations and scheduling communication among team of per diem educators
● Coordinate school trips including, but not limited to: field trip scheduling, teacher communication (via phone and email), tracking and recording payments and scheduling educators
● Manage CRM and scheduling databases to track school reservations and self-guided groups
● Tracks department supplies and orders materials as necessary with budget guidelines
● Coordinates and schedules self-guided tours and other one-off educational programs (scout groups, homeschool, etc.)
● Conduct routine analysis on program data to assist with evaluation efforts, including gathering and tracking statistics and other data at the request of the Director of Education
● Develops attendance reports by inputting relevant information into existing databases
● Ensures all schools, campers, and visiting tour groups follow QCFM safety protocols
● Provides occasional operational and administrative support for events
● Other duties as assigned
