Description:
The Salesforce Architect will manage the CRM’s lifecycle and coordinate projects and initiatives that support Pareto’s growth and retention goals. Working with diverse stakeholders including management, IT, finance, internal users, and external consultants, the Architect will be responsible for recommending the best solution given the requirements and be able to articulate the decision process and tradeoffs that lead to that recommendation. The position requires a strong commitment to Pareto’s values as well as a deep understanding of the Salesforce ecosystem and its own core values. The Salesforce Architect will be expected to propose innovative solutions to new and existing challenges both within the CRM and between other internal/external entities that connect to Salesforce.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand and own the underlying structure and data architecture of the Salesforce org, including ensuring that data structures support the reporting and analytics needs of management.
- Develop and oversee the architecture of scalable and robust Salesforce solutions that align with business goals and industry best practices.
- Design and implement integrations between Salesforce and external systems using APIs, middleware, and data tools.
- Establish and enforce Salesforce development standards, governance policies, and best practices to ensure system quality and performance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Identify and address performance bottlenecks in Salesforce solutions, optimizing for speed, scalability, and usability.
- Oversee the development and customization of Salesforce features, such as custom objects, Lightning components, and Apex code.
- Identify, procure, and manage third party tools and plugins that enhance the org’s functionality.
- Stay current with Salesforce platform updates, releases, and emerging technologies to recommend and implement enhancements.
- Adhere to best practices for design, security, and compliance.
- Build and maintain the devops pipeline using DevOps Center.
- Proactively look for areas of improvement and provide value-added advice and insight on CRM usage and future directions.
Skills And Experience
- Bachelor's degree or an equivalent mix of education and experience in CRM administration, application programming, architecture, cloud development, database, or security.
- 7+ years of direct experience in Salesforce CRM, with a primary focus in solutions architecture or development.
- 7+ years of additional work experience in technology
- Experience spearheading enterprise-wide salesforce initiatives in partnership with cross-functional teams
- Strong business acumen & Executive presence
- Ability to identify technical design risk, Experience developing governance strategies to mitigate risk
- Experience with release management, source control, and deployment technologies such as CI/CD pipelines, Metadata API, and integration services
- Experience with cross-cloud Salesforce (SFDC) implementations integrated with other cloud and on-premise systems
- Awareness of platform-specific design considerations such as large data volumes, allocation limits, and data migration
- Salesforce Certified Solution Architect, Salesforce Certified Application Architect, Salesforce Certified Integration Architect, and/or Salesforce Certified Data Architect.
- Proven track record of leading Salesforce projects end-to-end, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance.
- Strong technical understanding of Salesforce design principles and programming languages including Apex, Flows, Visual Force, DevOps, Agent framework, Integrations, Pardot, Tableau, Spiff and other Salesforce products.
- Expertise in data modeling, database design, and Salesforce's data tools like Data Loader and ETL tools.
- Experience with APIs, middleware, and tools like MuleSoft, REST/SOAP APIs, and Salesforce Connect.
- Deep understanding of Salesforce security models, roles, profiles, and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Proven ability to lead teams, mentor developers, and work collaboratively with stakeholders.
- Strong project management skills and experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
