A leading international petrochemical and sustainable materials business is searching for a self-motivated Sales & New Business Development Manager to be the primary driver of commercial growth for a new sustainable polymer product line. This position is a key part of the organization’s continued push to offer sustainable alternatives and recycled materials to the North American market.
As the company expands their offering in various types of sustainable materials, including from mechanical and chemical recycling, as well as bio-based polymers, they are looking to hire an experienced commercial professional to assist in realizing revenue, profitability, and continued customer satisfaction. You would be responsible for developing sales of a new product line focused on providing high-performance 100% PCR resins for a variety of applications, but with a focus on packaging and consumer goods.
In this role you will proactively identify, develop and commercialise new business opportunities throughout North America, with a focus on Brand Owner partnerships. In addition to proactive business development, you will manage a handful of existing accounts. The primary function of your role will be to generate sales from new and existing customers, whilst maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction, so working closely with other Sales colleagues, as well as Technical Service and R&D is essential. You will take responsibility for achieving revenues and pricing targets, and maintaining/ exceeding a group-defined margin and market share.
Collaborating closely with colleagues throughout the sales organization is crucial, allowing the capture and processing of relevant market intelligence, and ensuring pertinent competitive analysis is shared especially in relation to recycled feedstocks. Importantly, the role requires someone who is not only experienced in the sale of specialty polymers, but who is passionate about improving sustainability in the materials space. Knowledge of the Brand Owner landscape (ie. food, CPG, etc) is highly advantageous, and especially in relation to how to penetrate and influence FMCG customers at a high level.
