Description:
Responsibilities will include:
- Exhibits - Manage the Press’s conference-exhibit program, which entails reserving and paying for exhibit booths at conferences, creating exhibit materials (flyers, banners, postcards, galleys, virtual exhibit booth interfaces), managing shipments, overseeing book sales, and coordinating single-title exhibit displays through third-party vendors in conjunction with the Marketing staff and Acquisition Editors.
- Publicity - Provide Publicity support, including creating review-copy lists and shipments, writing press releases, ordering bound galleys for feature and select other titles, and coordinating author events.
- Awards - Identify awards for books, complete nomination paperwork, coordinate shipments of books, pay award fees.
- Sales - Perform miscellaneous departmental support, including compiling of online catalogs, sales research, special projects.
- Data Entry - Enter data into title management system for distribution to booksellers and libraries
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree
- Experience: At least one year of relevant experience
- Strong organizational skills including ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to communicate well both internally and externally
- Ability to work with design templates
- Ability to work independently
- Strong interest in scholarly publishing
