Customer Business Development (CBD) is what we call our Sales organization at Unilever. CBD works closely with customers to pioneer new products, build categories, and deploy best-in-class retail and shopper capabilities.

As the Sales & Trade Marketing Analyst, you will play a key role in providing analytical support, proactively analyzing, and reviewing information to identify opportunities or potential challenges across Unilever’s businesses. The focus of the position is to serve as key support to the Customer Business Manager and Business Development Manager for Health & Beauty Division across all categories/brands and key stakeholders within Unilever.

You will report directly to the Customer Business Manager and also work closely with Division Director, BDM, Team Leads and category CBM’s to achieve our goals. This role is vital to the success of the Health & Beauty business and will help ensure our strategic/financial health in the Sector. It will require someone who is self-motivated with excellent influencing skills, has an ability to work independently and is team oriented.

  • Provide in depth analytical support focused on business solutions in presentation ready formats
  • Analyze business to identify and understand business trends and provide recommended solutions
  • Create sales ready presentations with analysis to be presented to the account, brands, and internal teams
  • Use existing data platforms to create new methodology to analyze business opportunities and risks
  • Collaborate with team within Unilever and customer to share best practice analysis
  • Thorough promotional analysis on all events that will lead to insights on efficiency and productivity
  • Positive attitude takes ownership and initiative to fix problems
  • Must be skilled in verbal and written communications
  • Utilize business systems to extract and review business metrics including sales, shipments, and supply chain measures
  • Generate bi-weekly customer-facing sales and promotion performance reporting with commentary
  • Analyze promotion on monthly basis including Unilever promotions across customers as well as competitive set
  • Support price pack architecture assessment as well as new item performance
     

What You’ll Need To Succeed
 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or related area preferred.
  • Minimum one year of related experience; demonstrating knowledge of customer, data, systems, and ability to analyze info and trends to make recommendations.
  • Possess excellent computer skills; especially with Microsoft tools; strong analytical skills and solutions oriented.
  • Must have strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize, and great verbal and written communication
  • Must have high system aptitude; knowledge of Circana/IRI, Excel, SSAS, Customer POS systems, and Power BI is preferred
  • You can manage multiple projects / processes at one time; and can handle increasingly more responsibility as new platforms are launched
  • Strong communicate skills to work across Customer Business Managers, Business Development, Headquarters Planning group and Customer Service organization; have the skills to connect with team and create solutions to problem areas.
  • Positive attitude, takes ownership and initiative to fix business challenges
  • Must be a strategic thinker that can work effectively, and in a highly collaborative manner
  • Ability to think creatively in assisting in designing strong promotional plans and influence company
  • Has ability to think outside the box, is "scrappy", and has ability to work independently to find solutions
